ONLINE SPANISH TEACHER
¡Hola! My name is Carlos and I am a Spanish teacher online. Would you like to learn Spanish with tailored and flexible lessons? Learn Spanish with me, let´s start this adventure!
MY ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
At university, I got a Degree in History. I worked during some years as a tourist guide and, in 2011, I had my first experience as a Spanish teacher. At that time, I was very enthusiastic and motivated but I felt that I needed knowledge and resources to teach my language. For this reason, I decided to study a Masters in Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language, at the University of Pablo de Olavide (Seville).
MY WORK EXPERIENCE
My first experience as a Spanish teacher was as a volunteer in a NGO, teaching unaccompanied migrant children. I loved this experience and I decided to work professionally in this area.
From 2012, I have been worked in two language schools (Centro Mundolengua, Giralda Center) in my city, Seville, teaching Spanish to children, teenegers, adults and elderly people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. In addition to my Spanish lessons, I was a cultural guide for my students and, in the afternoons, we visited the main monuments and districts of Seville. Thus I could combine both my academic and professional profiles: History and Spanish.
In 2020 I created my own website Online Spanish World and I began my adventure as a Spanish teacher online, giving Spanish lessons on Zoom and Skype. Now I work also as a teacher in Centro Universitario EUSA (Sevilla), teaching Spanish to university students.
MY TRIPS AROUND LATIN AMERICA
I´m very inquisitive and I have many interests and hobbies, such as movies, music, sports, gastronomy and literature, but my great passion is travelling and discovering new places and meeting people from different cultures.
Although I have visited several countries in Europe, Africa and Asia, I have a particular interest in Latin America. During my university days, I was awarded two schoolarships to study in Ecuador (2008) and Mexico (2010) and I obtained a certificate of specialization in History of America.
In the last few years, I have visited other Latin American countries such as Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Peru. As a Spanish teacher, I always seek topics about the exciting and diverse Latin American world to teach my language.
